About Kokoon

Award Winning Smart Home & Business Services

Hi, I’m Gerry Clancy and my company, Kokoon Technology was incorporated in 2010 as an extension of our original company G. Clancy & Co. Ltd. which was started by my Grandfather in 1930. Having taken solace by his ethos, to identify and diversify, we identified the need to have a specialised technology based division separate to our traditional electrical retail operation.

This spawned Kokoon Technology in 2004 and, after initially concentrating on the high end, aspirant private consumer, we are now focussed on the B2B market, delivering cost effective / fixed cost reducing solutions to the Business community.

Having moved away from retail and now concentrating on B2B, we have worked hard to identify our market, products / solutions and build our customer base, all the time reviewing and looking for the next product line and market. This has allowed us to continue to win business and retain many contracts and agencies such as Long Range Systems and Think Simple & Vitrum .

Make Your Home Smarter

Do you want to make your home “smart,” but don’t know how to begin? The good news is there are myriad ways to start, and making your home smart doesn’t have to cost a lot, either. At its most basic definition, a smart home can mean any device or appliance connected to the internet that you can control using a smartphone or whose function you can automate.

The devices and services that make a home “smart” will be different for every individual. In fact, whether you know it or not, chances are that you already have some type of smart home device. Do you have LED light bulbs that you can dim or turn on using your smartphone? Guess what, you have a smart home. Do you own a webcam installed that monitors your windows or front door, or perhaps the baby’s room? You, my friend, have a smart home.
